Aside from that, infections found in any of the face areas can cause facial paralysis, taste loss, and hearing loss. There are even times when herpes causes nerve pains which could last for a long time.

Herpes can't be cured and that is already a known fact. The medications and treatment options available today can only suppress the symptoms and kill the pain. When you visit the doctor, he or she will examine the symptom's severity. Only then can the doctor prescribed the right medication for you.

When you feel a burning sensation and pain on your face, you might have a herpes outbreak in a few days. If you're not sure, schedule an appointment with your doctor right away. Don't wait until the symptoms get worse. It would be a wise move to treat the symptoms as soon as they appear so that your condition will not get worse. There are prescription medicines, creams, and topical applications. If you find these medications quite costly, you can turn to herbal treatments like thyme, tea, lemon balm, and other effective herbs.
